Pricing
All invoices are billed in Cayman Islands dollars (KYD). If you wish to pay in USD, conversion is done at a rate of KYD $1 = USD $1.25. For example, KYD $100 = USD $125.
Freight and Port Authority fees are based on volume, therefore combining more packages into one consolidation costs less than shipping them separately.
Ocean freight
Volume per consolidation is rounded up to the next whole cubic foot. Each rate applies only to the cubic feet that fall inside its band. For small consolidations, below 10 cubic feet, freight is charged at tiered rates.

For example, a 5 cu ft consolidation costs KYD 48.00: KYD 20.00 for the first 2 cu ft, KYD 10.00 per cu ft for the next 2 cu ft, and KYD 8.00 for the final cu ft.

Customs duty
CIF × duty rate
Customs duty rates are governed by the Cayman Islands Government. Duty is calculated based on the cost of the items, insurance and freight (CIF value) × applicable duty rate.
Insurance
3% of declared value
Minimum KYD 15.00, or 3% of declared value, whichever is higher. Covers your goods in transit up to their value. If something arrives damaged, please fill out all the relevant information on the insurance claim section of the client portal within 3 business days. Further guidance on our insurance coverage is available in our Terms and Conditions.
Port Authority fees
KYD 1.50 per cu ft
For shipments up to 2 cu ft, a minimum charge of KYD 5.00 applies, and for shipments up to 10 cu ft the minimum charge is KYD 15.00. Above 10 cu ft, the fee is KYD 1.50 per cu ft.
Handling
KYD 50.00 per 100 cu ft
Nothing at all on shipments up to 10 cu ft. Above that, KYD 50.00 up to 100 cu ft and a further KYD 50.00 for each 100 cu ft after that. Breaking your consolidation down, checking it against your invoices and shelving it at our Grand Cayman facility.
Delivery in George Town
Free
For a limited time, we are offering free delivery within George Town on shipments up to 10 cu ft. Above that size, KYD 1.50 per cu ft.

Outside the free-delivery area we will quote before arranging anything. We deliver to your door anywhere on Grand Cayman.
Optional charges on shipment
Storage
KYD 2.00 per cu ft per day
Each package is stored for free for 30 days from the day it arrives in Miami, while you gather packages into a consolidation. In Grand Cayman you have 3 business days from the invoice date to pay and take delivery. After these periods expire, storage fees apply, so pay on time and there is nothing to pay for storage.
Late payment
1.5% per month
18% a year, on any balance still outstanding after the due date.
Things worth knowing
- There is no charge to open an account, no monthly fee, and no charge for your Miami address. You pay when you ship.
- Shipping something small? Port Authority fees drop to KYD 5.00 on shipments up to 2 cu ft, and there is no handling charge at all up to 10 cu ft, so a single package is not weighed down by charges meant for a full consolidation.
- Storage is free for 30 days while you gather packages into one consolidation.
- Duty is calculated on the cost of the items plus insurance and freight (CIF) value.
- Exchange rate conversion. For duty calculation and insurance value purposes ONLY, all USD invoices are converted at a USD to KYD rate of 0.85.
- Pay by bank transfer, or by cash or card when we deliver.Payment is due within 3 business days of your invoice.
- Rates may change, and we will post any change here before it takes effect. A consolidation already invoiced keeps the rates it was invoiced at.
